Looks pretty similar to the Oxo if you're talking about their pour over dripper. I look forward to your thoughts on it.

It was fine. Definitely see what people mean about how clean pourovers can taste. I mostly got the recipe below right.
Not sure it is an improvement over the switch. Not sure it gives me something I want over the switch. I also am not a fan of getting two cups at once which is really my biggest complaint. However, when my gf wants an upgrade from the Moccamaster and I do too, this will be a good option.

FWIW... All my filter brews are pour-over brews using a variety of devices, but one of the biggest variables to producing a great cup for me has been the introduction of the Melodrip. I've been using it for years and swear by it. There are also similar tools that sit right on top of the brewer - in fact I just bought one for my travel kit - to make it hands-free.

I bought a mod for my Melodrip to make it hands free on a V60, and wasn't happy with it, because it would just shower on a small central area of the bed.

I think the most foolproof pourover method besides the Ceado which has its own issues is the Nextlevel Pulsar. It has a shower screen like the Melodrip but it covers the entire bed. It is zero bypass, and has a valve so you can control how much immersion you get.

Its worst attribute is that it's slightly messy to clean especially compared to a cone-type brewer where you can just wrap, squeeze, and lift the fliter around the grounds and cleanly dump it. The Ceado is totally hands and attention-free, but it is very annoying to clean.

I do lean toward paper filter brewers for the ease of clean-up. The Hoop and the Pulsar are nice but I also like paper for certain coffees when I do want bypass, especially for some of the funkier naturals that I like. I find that a bit of bypass takes the edge off. So I'm mostly brewing on the V-60, Wave, and Orea and using the Melodrip for all. The hands-free shower screen is just for travel and, while not as good as the Melodrip, is better than pouring straight without a gooseneck kettle.

Consistently best espresso or ristretto was at Cafe Grumpy on 20th St, NYC. They sourced beans from Novo. They started roasting themselves and the espresso was never the same.
Started ordering direct form Novo.

My point was their coffee went downhill when they started roasting and I stopped going there.
Not surprised you don't like it.
Is heartbreaker what they use for espresso?

Sey and Regalia roast in Brooklyn, both are good.
