Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking into buying a wool trouser and I found one from lemarie, raf simons and acne, and all around 200-250 price range. I wonder which brand have the best quality trouser. I’m sorta leaning toward lemarie, but I have no experience with either brands.

Lemaire stuff is back on Simons for some reason.

I think that’s a sign that I should buy the pants. That color isn’t anywhere else and $230 seems reasonable enough in the grand fashunz scheme.

Well don’t buy the 34s. If there’s only one that is. Personally this color is much more interesting than black to me.

Has anybody seen any of the “Chinese blue” stuff in person? Some places make it look really dark, a lot like the midnight from last winter (Totokaelo) and other places make it look much brighter and more vivid (like Need Supply). I’m hoping it’s closer to the latter

I'm guessing it's more subtly vivid based on the stuff I've seen at Matches (the green 2 pleat trousers look muted, the djellaba looks muted, similarly the chinese blue db blouson thing looks muted, etc). At the same time Need Supply is on the other end cause their lighting setup exaggerates texture and sheen a little.

How do the 2 pleats on Simons fit?
I'm new to Lemaire so unfamiliar with how to size. I generally take a 33.

If you’re a 33 you might be good with a 50, they fit small. Eg/ I’m a 34 and found the 50’s too tight.
