Thanks, but now all you've done is make me want one of those cool ass blanket jackets too!If you like the aesthetics of that Flat Head jacket (which is beautiful!) then you should also take a look at the D-pocket Avro by Himel Brothers. Himel also works with Shinki tannage. Both are top-quality jackets.
Now this is a beautiful jacket. It's too bad the size is off, for me. I'd have been very interested, but I think I'm going to get the classic black RO high-neck intarsia from Crust--I've been on the hunt for that for a while as it is. I love how clean the CC jacket is.
A bomber I just picked up in Fez, Morocco for around $150. It's made of buttery soft goatskin tanned in Fez; the quality is superb.
stumbling through past posts, i have noticed lambskin just doesn't get much love here? it seems that you guys usually favor cowhide, horsehide and goatskin.
what are the reasons for this? is it because lambskin is not as durable?
It will hold up okay. They tend to be fairly lightweight though, if that is a concern for you.I'm not going to be making any cross-country motorcycle trips, but if I am spending that much on something I want to feel like it will last me a while.
