This is a great suggestion too, but didn't want to inundate @NautOfEarth with all of these jackets other than the 2 he was wanting
Yeah, I get that, but I find that the bootlegger can have a daunting drop. On an average physique, it just is hard to make work in casual settings, and for a jacked person, it can look very Tom of Finland, which is a very specific look, and I which I don't think is the desired effect.

Of the two suggested, I would personally go with the Moonshiner.

As you guys all know, though, my first love is the Type 3 or the Lee's 101L or Storm Rider style.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. The reason I was looking at the Moonshiner/Bootlegger was due to liking the style of collar but otherwise being toned down. But I think I would probably go with the Bootlegger between the two.

I like the Bootlegger and think the pocket works to balance the style. Given how I've seen you dress, you may actually like the Mister Freedom Campus/Stallion or the Thedi Shawl Collar. I could also see you in a leather Type 1/2/3

I already have a brown Aeromarine being made in goatskin and wanted my - possibly only - black leather jacket to be a bit different. But the Campus stallion was on the list as the measurements look perfect.

Aero's Type 3 would be appealing though. I'll consider it some more.

I personally really like mky 30s half belt, which is very versatile in terms of fits. I definitely can capture the Western vibe, the frontier vibe, and the workwear vibe. or be used in more modern fits.

And for the sake of your wallet, order directly from Aero. With the dollar as strong as it is, you are saving hundreds:

As versatile as they are, something about them just doesn't do it for me. I am open to being swayed though. I'll take a look at some fits to get a good feel for them.

Thanks for the tip about ordering from them directly. I wonder if I can reference my previous Thurston Bros orders if I order direct.

They have everything on record, and if you give them the exact details that you asked for, they would probably have them on file. I have their older version of their Type 3. I would want it in a heavier leather than they prefer now, but it's definitely a solid jacket. I sorta want one in a roughout, if they even do that.

*Oh, and as a favor, if you do decide to order directly, could you please make a link here and just purchase through it? We make a small commissions that helps us out quite a bit, and it would cost you nothing extra. Thanks!

i've had my eye on the bootlegger since they came up with it , i really like the clean-ness and proto-moto style . i love that it's a repro but comes off like a modernized version of a midcentury jacket .

Absolutely. Just so I'm clear, I'd just post a link to Aero's home page somewhere on the site, click it and make my purchase?

Yeah, Just post it in the thread. I mean, at this point, I'm probably not the only person invested in what you are going to get.

How does that work @LA Guy ? Is it only for affiliates or if we buy anything leather related?
We work with several "affiliate networks". These automatically create links that attribute the click from us. If a purchase is made, we make a small commission. So, everything from Ebay and Amazon links to small participating vendors, not necessarily just our sponsors/affiliate vendors.

I guess I'm asking how do we know whether to create a link in here or not

Oh, well, people love to know what other people are getting anyway, just for inspiration and a jumping off point for their own ideas, so you are definitely invited to post a link to things you are thinking of getting or just got, etc....

Looking for sizing advice. I've lost a lot of weight and not sure what I should really be looking at in terms of fit. Below are two leather jackets I have, both in size 56. I can easily pinch 3'ish inches of material. My chest is ~106cm.
