I think it is fine. Bigger size also a larger back which does not necessarily look better. This jacket is not very comfortable (at least for a long period) to wear it zipped anyway and I see no point in zipping it up. just wear it with a t-shirt. Oddly enough, sizing up for him throws everything else off. I'd say the cut is just not for him. He's better off trying a DR from a different maker or going MTM.too small on you broski
