It looks okay - kind of boring, but everything on Bluefly looks boring in the pictures. If it's a full shearling it will be pretty limited to cold weather. And the price doesn't seem that great to me even on sale. I see lots of Marc leather at Nordstrom Rack for plenty less than that.

What kind of other stuff are you planning to wear it with? There is a very wide range of leather jacket styles and many examples are cheesy/sleazy so it takes a bit more care than some other purchases.

It's alright, very unremarkable though.

If you want a "rugged" long style coat, you could probably do better (non-leather version) for that price.

If you just want leather, then you could do better for that price.

But if what you're aiming for is long leather coat, then it's ok. A really nice one would probably set you back quite a bit. But, in my opinion, you should not settle for leather. If you like something a lot, then buy all means save up to buy it rather than settle.

Okay, then you could go for a fair number of bomber styles including shearling if you need cold weather duty, or maybe a good car coat from Schott, Vanson ,Aero, Lost Worlds, etc. Do you want a shorter or longer style?

Based on what you posted and the general style thereof, here's one I might recommend:

The horsehide version pictured is $950 but you can also get it in steerhide for $650. You will not be able to kill this coat without a very concerted effort on your part.

Id advise against it.

Theres plenty of cheap alternatives that look just like it, but still it looks pretty bland. I dont think itll give you the rugged look youre looking for. It has a different vibe.

Something like what j posted, if you want something in similar length, would work much better to achieve that look.

What does everyone think of this coat? They say that it's fitted on their website, which I'd appreciate:

What about a suede coat?

I really want a suede, bomber style jacket. Looks great with jeans and can still be dressed up a bit.

It looks cozy but not a lot of style. The trend for the last year has been towards more fitted coats and I think if you plan to wear it for more than a year you would be better off with a fitted style of coat.
