the Slim Fit Chinos are just that, slim fit. the pocket flare on them is ridiculous though so I wouldn't bother. I just got a couple pairs of the Refined and they aren't slim fit, they're skinny. Less than 6 5/8 " on the leg opening and that's on a 31 waist. they look like jeggings. haven't tried the vintage but I would imagine they're a skinny fit also.

Wha?? That's crazy, mine were huge at the leg opening and i got a 31. Ugghh, wish i had measured them.. If you could take a pic that would be helpful. Really interested to see if i just somehow got straight leg pair :puzzled:

Not too bad of an idea, just makes them look a bit too bulky IMO.
It's a terrible idea, if the sleeves are too long or short they pretty much can't be altered. J. Crew even does this on their womens stuff, it's just idiotic to me.

They can be altered, but it has to be done from the shoulder, which means you're kinda taking the jacket apart in order to alter it. Way more work than just taking them up a little at the front. Only works, of course, if the sleeves are too long.

I think it's kinda silly to put functional cuffs on a jacket that's not MTM.

+1.

I was looking at the navy blazer but the sleeve length on a 38 is 25 1/2". I'd have to get them shortened at least .5" to show any cuff (which would be expensive to have done from the shoulder). Too bad, as all the other measurements seem perfect for me.

sure, i'll try to when i get home. maybe they're also a victim of bad QA? who knows. I don't have a store closeby for easy returns so I'm not gonna take a gamble on another order.

something about how the pockets are stitched, can't recall exactly but they make your hips look like 4 or 5 inches wider than they actually are. if you look at the reviews you'll see multiple complaints about this.

Yeah I'm aware, I just didn't see the point in mentioning it for such cheap jackets. This really is one of my biggest pet peeves in menswear, makes me irrationally mad every time I see it. :D

Looks like they restocked some of the slub crewnecks in the smaller sizes AND it's on sale! Picked up white and grey heather in M. Fantastic casualwear, though the S I ordered last time shrunk a bit.

So i got the measurements for a 31 and 32 on the refined slim fit chino:

31

waist: 32.75
hip: 39.75 (3.5" up from crotch)
thigh: 23.75
knee: 18.25
leg opening: 14.5

32

waist: 33.75
hip: 40.75
thigh: 24.25
knee: 18.5
leg opening: 14.75

This is in-line with what i experienced when i ordered the 31. Why would they make the knee so big!!?? Terrible.

I'm surprised that their chino shorts are still not on sale yet. I mean, it's officially autumn now.
Disappointing. I thought I could score a pair of "vintage brick" with the additional 25% sale.

^ Oi, m8. Your signature says you're looking for brown MacNeils. If you can wait a few weeks for shipment LEC will sell 'em to you now for $243.75. You save $81 and change on the discount and another $22 on the free shipping.

BTW all, thanks for the reports on the pants. Was looking to buy a few pair and had them in my cart, but have been dissuaded now.

Cool, thanks for the headsup.
I haven't edited my sig for quite while that I forgot what I was looking for since the list just got longer and longer.
