have you considered calling the JL NYC boutique or the boutique that is close to you ? nothing like spending 1200-1600 for shoes but then arguing about spending an extra 150 for shoe tress.
They don't have lasted trees at least not anymore.

FWIW, I've had a pair of John Lobb double monks for about 10 years just in cheap Alden shoe trees and cannot detect any discernible change to the shoe's shape. To be fair, I rarely wear the shoes so maybe hard to detect but they've literally been with the shoe trees for years at a time. I tried on the shoes yesterday after my move to the UK and they seem totally fine. So just one data point.
At the price point they should come with lasted shoe trees.Anything else falls short.Yeah, I'm not a cobbler and I'm sure I wouldn't notice it much.
But it just seems odd to me that EG and JLs cost top dollar for RTW but they don't have any lasted shoe trees.
It feels like they're cheaping out on the details.
