Great interview! Does anyone know what he meant when he said they introduced tailoring 2 or 3 years ago?

Some places refer to dressier clothes as tailoring like blazers and overcoats. So I'm guessing the Richmond jacket, kempy overcoat, and the topcoat that srizvi has. (forgot the name)

Charcoal cargos came in today and I gotta say, they’re killer. The fit is perfect for what I was looking for (went tts). Dead tired, but I snapped some pics. Might have to try and work these into the office rotation.

but like most things if your into the culture you dig deep to see what's actually good or what influenced what you like now. not a lot of people lived through jordan 1s around me but there's always a place for it before the hype. like you said pre 2005 they always sat maybe beside any of the home or away iteration. i was surprised to see the ruckus for the royals in recent times, but like you said everyone gotta start somewhere. i still think the v1/v2 is an evolution of the the roshes "kanye shrug". only time will tell when they start retro ing in enough quantity. as you can see redrops and rerelease have already put a lot people off.

Did you get a small? They look really good on you, compared to the model pics. That charcoal color looks really nice as well, prob the more versatile color IMO. Not really sure why they are oversizing everything in the product shots.

Looks good on you. I’d make them look like a mess.

Every time I think JE is stealing my $$ with jacked up prices, I realize that 1) JE prices are still faaaaaar cheaper than most designers now a days and 2) JE gear can be worn daily for yeaaaaaars

It's marketing bro. It's not research or culture driving the hype behind Jordans right now. That's precisely why a poorly designed OVO collab does numbers. People today just want whatever has perceived value for resell. And how do you create that hype? You put a shoe through a media circuit with blogs, influencers, etc for 6-8 months and get people so hyped for it then only release 1500 pair or something crazy like that worldwide so they sell out instantly in 2 mins. To me, that cycle makes it almost impossible to really predict what people actually like vs what they're just being hyped to buy as part of a strategy. In today's climate, the words classic or timeless are more subjective than they've ever been when it comes to sneakers or style in general.

I agree that’s very true. Lotta hype
