He is on Letterman right now. The guy seems like he had a psychotic break, no joke. Very, very touchy and weird. I guess it was initially called as a hoax but Phoenix is saying he's totally serious.

Now that's a shocking change of events.

The letterman thing is fuckin weird too. he seems like he's on something, or he's just really good at acting lik eit.

Wanting to start a music career is one thing, but I hope he's not really ending his acting career to do it. But I guess that, being an actor, no one can really tell him not to quit his day job.

Wow. The Phoenixes were not exactly what you'd call a normal family. Joaquin has always appeared at the edge of a cliff to me.

I would tend to agree. As they are going to commercial, with the camera pulling back and the music starting, his entire body posture seems to change abruptly as he pulls off his sunglasses and leans in to talk to Dave.

Regardless, the whole thing was funny to watch. Letterman is most enjoyable when he gives up trying to be nice.
