I was debating a pair from Siroeno and Acme but Acme's square lasts were a bit more to my liking. But these are really nice. I would be curious to learn how they fit.

Bespoke Koji Suzuki via The Armoury NYC these two are orders circa 2019. Koji has made me about 15-20 pairs of shoes. He is the best.

After a short hiatus as I waited for the snow and ice to turn to puddles before getting dry ground. The first dry day in a while seemed like a good day to pull these out. Perhaps my most comfortable pair of RTW shoes.

Last December I visited Kiyo's new workshop in Saitama.

While we were discussing an existing project, he mentioned that while he was previously only offering MTO, he was partnering with another shoemaker to add bespoke as an option.

He didn't mention who he was partnering with nor the starting price for bespoke but for those who are fans of Kiyo's work, there are now more options to choose from.

With the difference in time zones, I didn't manage to watch the finals for the 2022 World Championship in Shoemaking, but it would seem that Orma Shoemaker has won first prize. Gazman70k instagram story (the movie at the top that stays for only 24 hours) has a photo, though I am sure more photos will emerge soon. Congratulations - it is the first Japanese winner of the competition if I am correct.

My first made in Japan boot 🥾- Shoes of Stefan’s Sukesan X Miyagi Kogyo PTB in Maryam horsebutt. Really looking forward to seeing how it patinas over time.
