Certainly not as known and discussed as other iconic models, but I would put the Pasolini among the most distinctive and unique ones.

Pasolini Orion.

Dang. Frickin unicorns right there. For those here who are new to the brand (I’m one of the original fans from all the back to oh about page 400 of this here electronic bulletin board), Pasolini’s have been much sought after for most JMM (Jacques Marie Mage) enthusiasts.

What a great collection you have! I APPROVE!

These ^ translucent frames seem to be popular on SF these days but I confess I’m not a fan. Life would be boring of course if we all liked the same things and it’s cool that JMM has a range broad enough to satisfy the varied tastes of many of us but I much prefer the bolder colored acetate than the plethora of see through variations that have been coming through lately.

I have one pair of clear acetate Oliver Peoples frames pictured on here a few pages back which I really like. When I first got into JMMs there were a few clear and colourless or near colourless frames around - Molinos and Dealans IIRC - which I think can look good especially if you want to mitigate the wideness of the frames as the clear versions appear smaller than say noir but on the whole IMO the clearer frames look best in jewel colours - cobalt, Marlboro, vesper, volvox, whiskey etc etc than the sand, pale yellow and beige versions.

Wow. Just…..wow! Did anyone else get that email from JJ? The one calling that feller Brad Pitt a “friend of JMM”. Well, it’s official. They have gone and jumped the shark. If a brand is strong enough on its own, it shouldn’t rely on celebrities to attract new customers. The customers that strategy attracts are weak-minded, unoriginal followers. Wrong strat. The brand needs more fans like me who are original, and they can have that as long as they don’t degrade themselves with these Hollyweird buffoons! IT’S NOT OK! Do the work! Be better, dawg dang it!

If there are any JMM (Jacques Marie Mage) operatives here, please reach out to me. I really feel like I can help guide marketing strategy to gain and retain the right customer. Please reach out if you’re on this electronic bulletin board. Look through this board’s history and you’ll see how respected I am in JMM fandom. No charge for my input. It’s for the love of the brand.

Now who’s being a “troll”, right, by trying to diminish a respected member of this bulletin board? You can have your opinion, right, but it can’t be one that harms another poster!!!! Do us all a favor and get back to the topic at hand instead of engaging in personal attacks!!!!! With all my respect. I prefer to make friends here, including with you bruh. I will not entertain any more of this debauchery. We talk about the brand here!!!!!!

Edit after cooling my jets: It really upsets me when my enthusiasm lands me with accusations of being a troll. Sorry for my aggressive tone. Let’s just agree to a truce a be cool to each other, right? Peace.

I understand your point, I would also prefer that the brand still were the niche one it was, but it's obvious that they try to grow and expand, so engaging a celebrity like Brad Pitt is perfectly in the strategy.

Maybe it would be better for your mental health if you moved on to another brand like Chrome Hearts? I don’t believe they have celebrity marketing. I’m not sure they have ANY marketing as they don’t even have a web shop. You seem to take all this business entirely too personally, it’s just capitalism at work.

I don't even think they got the model he's wearing in the photos correct, did they?

Edit: Maybe they did. Seems like the 53 is a little less cat's eye than the regular Dealan.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
