Not going to hate I put up one of my frames at a ridiculous no ******* way price and it sold so if I had that frame I’d at least entertain that price for the week :hide:;)

Although somewhat annoying, it's legitimate to try getting the maximum profit from your sell. Nobody will force you to buy.

It's obviously speculation, as it happens for some watches or even sneakers. As long as wealthy collectors are ready to pay those prices, the bubble won't deflate.
In most cases though the prices on ebay are negotiable, to some extent.

In my case it was just the luck of having a Rodeo that I forgot I had and I put out a number I knew it wouldn’t sell at to “mark down” and bam didn’t have to mark down. I think us OGs know about how much a frame should go for but the new guys with fomo want it yesterday at whatever price if you have the right model. I imagine I can put up an Ascari VT for say 2.7k and it will sell maybe even 3k….and this a frame that languished for months fully stocked and no one really cared about it, but the hype and fomo is real

I have those cobalt Herbies.
They’re one of my current favourites but it would be hard to turn down four large.
I wonder - if we hold on to all our unwanted frames if they’ll all eventually rocket up in price like that?
I occasionally scroll through eBay and when I see ridiculous asking prices they are almost always “from Japan”. Either the demand there is ridiculously high or else they have some speculative collectors / flippers who are out of touch with reality. I sold my sage Fitzgerald to @Easily Amused for RRP and soon after some knucklehead had a pair for sale for $2k. I was kicking myself for a minute but it’s anyone’s guess what they actually went for.
