I think the Pasolini works shape wise, but the frame design is pretty stylized, and I’m feeling the black is a high contrast with your skin color such that it is a bit jarring. But that could also be because of what you’re wearing. I think it could work with the right outfits and overall look, assuming you have a wardrobe to play with. But if you mostly wear OCBD with v neck sweaters and khakis, this isn’t the right frame for that look IMO. They do fit your face well, although I think something a little angular would also work really well.

***Returned the Pasolinis (Orion) today. Probably back in JMM's hands by beginning of next week. Not sure about how/when they'll make these available for sale, but for those who were unsuccessful on the release date, keep your eyes peeled.

Just received an insanely dense print "paper" from JMM marketing. Well done, though I haven't looked closely yet.

I got one as well. Pretty cool!

Soliciting honest & unbiased feedback on these new Pasolinis. I like them but my wife is sowing doubt…

I feel like a more subtle frame might look better on you.

I realize this is the JMM thread but FWIW, Dita has a model called System One. It has a similar design in that the frame has two layers -- a black layer and then a contrasting gold layer (sometimes rose gold, which tones down the contrast). Since the black layer is thin, you don't get as much contrast as you do with the Pasolinis. I find it pretty easy to wear, and it has a vaguely similar "sleazy" vibe as JMM.

I was tempted by the Dita Mach Seven in turtoise but told myself to wait wait for the new JMM releases. Plus it’s nearly winter in Chicago so will rarely need sunnies for the next several months.

do you guys go for more tame glasses for opticals?

I have 2 sunnies (Enzo and molino, both shadow) and 1 optical (molino, havana) wondering what would folks advise me to do, see below. I want a black pair of opticals

a. get another Enzo or Torino sunnies in a non black colorway and switch the molino shadow to be my optical black.
b. get a Enzo/torino for optical in black or dark color.

I do, but I think it depends on the setting you'll be using them in. I wouldn't care as much if I worked in an art gallery.

I work from home and the 2nd version in black would be used when I go to dinner or movies so yea I'd be going out in them and I know molino shadow opticals will look good but maybe torino would be cooler.

Round 2 Bathroom fit:

Fellini in hickory. They are crushing my temples but that’s an ez fix. It’s such a relief having 150mm arms, much less adjustment needed for my watermelon. Hickory is a beautiful color way. Thoughts on the bridge gap? It’s a slight peeve but acceptable, it’s generally why I prefer keyholes.

The previously posted percier with a quick coloring in to mock up sunglasses I honestly think the jax would make better rx for me, and the percier become Sunnies. I think Jax soft square actually has less surface area to minimize distortion for my -8 rx.

I have a pair of Taos in noir 4 coming from hoppergoods to see the fit, But I’m pretty happy with my current range (Jax/fellini/percier) with no overlaps in color.
*edit: different lighting/angle for fellini for my benefit

As between the two, I like the Fellinis.

if only sunglasses the first ones but I dont like either pair on you
Fair. I added one extra angle and slightly different resting position for fellini, I’m curious why it’s not a good match to you?

the percier are actually going back they are misaligned at the right hinge and the temple arms just feel strange compared to my Jax.
