Pleased as punch with my new 1980s. Shoutout to @Hannibal4242 , @teddieriley , and @JessBob for sending the resources to finally track these down! And to @obecity as well for the enthusiastic encouragement.

Going to take a pause on acquisitions and enjoy my collection thus far, from the classic to the quirky. :) View attachment 2167181

Very good fit. Nice and various collection, not everything is of my liking, but very interesting for sure.

okay one request, one question
Anyone have a nice picture of Yves in Havana 5? The green lenses look awesome.
Difference between Havana 5 and Havana 6 in general?

Somebody asked for a fit picture on the Godard. From Facebook.

Screenshot (1538).png

It would probably be the angle, but they look wider than what the lens width of 47mm would suggest.

The Walker is a great frame, I have it in Walnut, Rootbeer and Beige.
It's the frame that made me leep in the rabbit hole ... and electrical Foreman was wearing them in noir optical at a meeting and I stared at them ( uncomfortably) for like an hour , after the meeting I asked him who make the frame but before he could answer his boss called him over... needless to say that night I googled black frames with arrow head and 3 dots ..... eyes widen when jmm came up and the restis history

Were the first models qualitatively superior or inferior to the current ones for sale?
Do you think Jerome makes too many versions and too many models?
Now it seems like a more expensive generalist brand than others... what do you think about it?
Thanks

Difficult to say.

You can see that the first iteration of the Sandro had a more distinctive metal decoration, but it's a matter of personal taste whether it's better. I think that quality is constantly good.

Honestly I would wish to have even more colourways. On the other hand, I would like to have more dilated releases.

As @fmvazquez said, they try to make the maximum profit.

I think first edition acetate frames seemed a bit higher quality all the way around. The Sandro hornets I have (also selling btw) feel more like last frontier frames.

I think the titanium frames are actually higher quality now. The latest releases feel like they were made by the same factory that makes my Akoni solstice titanium frames and they are the best titanium I’ve ever felt. The older ones don’t feel as good

gold versus red around the rims mainly. From the front, the only gold you see in the empire is in the bridge. You see more from the sides.

The lens rims of the silver is gold versus red on the empire. I actually thought the rims on the empire were black - not as big of a fan of the red as you can’t change the lens color easily… but might look cool as opticals.

What is it about empire that you like better? As far as I can tell, the only difference is the lens color and the part of the frame that surrounds the lens.
