Yes, they are half-canvassed. At $388, you might as well just get one of their full suits and wear the jacket as a blazer as well.

Personally, I was never a major contributor to old jcrew threads, but I think I contributed more then than now. Yet, I am in some ways more a fan of jcrew now than then, and maybe contribute less since I already: 1. know my sizing and, 2. have enough experience with certain of their items to know that other similar items are what I'm looking for regardless of others' opinions.

Price has gotten out of hand, and the fit is weird almost across the board. I really only hit them up for cheap basics these days.

When I started shopping at J. Crew 3-4 years ago, they were very picky. I couldn't even use the discount on stuff that was on sale. In the last month, I've been able to buy collab items with the discount, in addition to stuff that's marked down already. The shoes were ordered via the red phone FYI.

Anyone know when we can expect a significant coupon code? I know they rarely do big ones, but I could have sworn they did a 20% or 30% off last winter.

They always do one in post-Thanksgiving (like every other retailer). I remember marking it down somewhere and people being pissed off because they had a 20% off sale, it ended, and they immediatley launched a 30% off sale the next day. I'm waiting to pull the trigger on all those fall items until then.
