J Crew F/W 09 Discussion

I think someone previously pointed out the Citizen Eco-Drive watch in this thread as a similiar style. In case anyone is interested, I have the same model and used one of the J. Crew straps with it:

Got a call from the store that my green and orange NATO straps are in the store. Will show pix w/ straps. Glad this finally solves My Big Watch Issue. Rather amazing how a $30 watch purchase can make me happy. I love this watch.

Has anybody had any trouble mounting their non-J Crew watches on the Nato straps?

Mine was fairly easy once I got the old strap off. The spring-loaded bars were a little difficult to get back on the watch, which was the hardest part. The only other thing you need to be careful of is the width of the strap. J.Crew's are 18mm, but if you need a different width NATO strap you can get them here.

Nope... mine fit perfectly on 18mm Seikos.

I picked up the Bowery Messenger Bag yesterday at final sale for $22.25. It had $59.99 aw the lowest ticketed price but it came up $29.99 at the register +30% off. I've seen what other people have said about the construction. The magnet clasps seem fairly strong to me, they definitely require a little effort to open. The "distressing" is non existent but that's not a big deal for me. It's large enough to fit in my 16" laptop which is a big plus for me. Overall very happy with my purchase, especially at the price I bought it at.

Awe man I just bought a used one and paid around $30. Last time I was in JCrew they didn't have any of these bags on final sale.
