Yes it can be done. From previously having this hair I wouldn't recommend it. The only reason I got away with it was because I was a weiner surf kid in SD. The professional world and this cut don't go together IMOP.

If you really want it its not too difficult with medium thick hair... just grow it out and, I dunno, honestly the more time I spent at the beach the better it became... If I wore a hat... my normally straight hair would begin to curl around the brim... You can have a stylist or barber 'thin' your hair or something for the look.

Are you serious? That's how my hair gets when i haven't had a haircut in awhile (can't wait till wednesday). Just got to a decent stylist and bring him a picture if you want. I have thick wavy, slightly curly hair though. With thick straight hair, use some kind of curl cream when you get out of the shower and the hair is still damp. With the cream in hand, twist it into the hair creating a bit of curl and then let air dry.

As the person above said, the only reason i can get away with it at times is because i'm still in undergrad. Not that i really like my hair like that, but i don't like it super short, and too lazy in the morning to tend to it.
