Hello everyone!

I am a social studies teacher, though presently I am a substitute teacher in my school district. I love dressing up in classic style when I am working and I know that the students have enjoyed it too. I love combining different colors from my shirts, pants, ties, and pocket square when I wear a suit (mostly when I go to church).

Mostly day to day I wear a polo and chinos during the winter or fall and bermuda shorts in the summer time along with my boat shoes

Hi, I’ve been lurking without an account for a while now. I love reading what others have to say about certain outfits, pairings, shoes, and brands.

I grew up wearing basketball shorts and plain tees to dabbling with oxford and flannel shirts throughout my teens and early 20s.

I started appreciating quality more and developed quite the appetite for researching what is best quality, best bang-for-buck, brand comparisons and their history, etc.

Now that I am fortunately in a better financial position, I have accumulated quite the inventory of clothes, shoes, and glasses. They’re not all perfect fits or styles for me, but I hope to be sharing some of them with you all in future threads and discussions.

Hey everyone, came across this forum after seeing it mentioned many times on the very interesting twitter threads of a certain someone who is very active on here seemingly. I love learning about clothing and fashion in general, and I've been reading about them since maybe 2018 or so when I had my sneakers and streetwear period.

I am based on Mexico City and my interests, apart from clothes, include plants (mostly cacti), Pokémon cards and running. Clothing-wise I love the western aesthetic, denim and workwear. A little bit of prep as well, but mostly the more modern trends that try to fuse it with streetwear-adjacent styles. I am also loving the current soccer jersey trend since I've had an interest on vintage ones for a while (plus nowadays it's quite easy to get ahold of nice, not necesarilly authenticaded, current season jerseys, if you know what I mean ;)).

I hope to be here for a while, after the debacle of the MFA subreddit I was feeling kind of adrift. I hope to be participating in a lot of the discussions in the near future. Cheers!

Hey, all. It's about time I finally signed up for an account. I'm a long-time lover of semi-dressy casual style (daily-wear), am fast-fashion averse, and mostly into stuff made in Italy/Europe/USA/recent Japan. For years I was into colorful, patterned, shirts but have recently, maybe in my older age, moved away from colorful patterns into more solid neutral colors. I have what might be considered an egregious shoe collection and way more clothing than would be considered reasonable. I tend to avoid buying in season and am always hunting for stuff I like on Yoox/Mr Porter/End/Ssense/ebay/Grailed.

Besides clothing and shoes, I'm passionate about fragrances, music, film, art, design, food, and drink. Professionally, I'm a UX designer in big tech.

I'm always looking for new ideas to continue refining my personal style and leads on how to meet it without paying full retail. The discovery of new brands that make really good stuff and are still flying under the radar.

Favorites (so far):

Clothing
Doppiaa
Universal Works
Oliver Spencer
Kestin Hare
La Paz
Lady White
Evan Kinori
Orslow
Jackman Tanabe
Gustin (older stuff)
Mason's (older stuff)
Apolis
Two Flowers

Shoes
Pantanetti
Marsèll
Officine Creative
Buttero
Older Pantofola d'Oro
Moonstar
Mihara Yasuhiro
Old school Camper (made in Spain)

Good to be here!

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
