It has a great view. Depending on your room, you see Capri, the Castell dell'ovo and Vesuvio. Great breakfasts as well.

My two favorite Florentine acquisitions remain (1) a cycling jersey that I bought in a small shop a long, miserable, polluted walk from the city center in a working class, glum part of Florence...it was a local team jersey sponsored by a cattle insemination company, which resulted in interesting graphics on the jersey and (2) the worst hangover of my life (and that is saying something) after one of the most fun long nights drinking with friends old and new at Enoteca Fuori Porta.

Enough with Rome and north, though, time to go south.
