Not a bad idea. I try to sleep on my back so that the pillow doesn't tug at my face under the eyes. I also try not to rub my eyes, or if I do , be very gentle. I think it has helped.

Where did you hear this or did you come to this conclusion?

I've found that taking hyaluronic acid helps rebuild the collagen. Copper peptides help to revitalize and tighten the skin. It has helped the bags under my eyes at least. Staying out of the sun for extended periods will help too.

Heroin works too.

I'm with you m@T. I took up boxing and dropped 25lbs in three months (from 170 to 145). A challenging workout as well as a character builder.

I don't hate running, but I would hate it if that is all that I did. Therefore, I alternate between cycling and running.

When I started working out about 3 years ago, I was mostly cycling. While it was building great calves, it wasn't doing much else for me. I threw in some boxing, but with my bad form, I was twisting my knees pretty bad. I threw running into the mix, and seemed to drop that "final" 10-15 lbs. that wasn't coming off (of course I could go another 15 lol).

So now I'll nordic track every night (with some "heavy" shadow boxing thrown in) and either run or bike every other day. I've got some work left to do, but the the point of my comment is that mixing it up can really work.

To add to the chorus of voices promoting use of an ipod, consider downloading audio books. I find listening to books makes the time zip by and makes me look forward to finishing the story.

Have you found someone to run with? I also hate running, but every morning I get up and meet a friend who lives a couple blocks away and we log 3.5 +/- miles...except for weekends. Having someone else share the misery makes it a million times better.

Now...if we could just lose some more weight...but that might involve fewer gin & tonics in the evenings -

I'm waiting to register for the hp marathon, at least until I get a few more 12-milers behind me. For some reason, having a race on the calendar gets me going. Actually racing also helps matters, since a race is nothing like a training run. Doesn't matter if you're a fast runner or not - just the experience is worthwhile. Try a few races and see how that affects your opinion of training.

Then again, I know a few racers who love racing. They hate training, and only do so in order to not get smoked the next time. You might fall into that category.
