I love navy blue as you can tell. I wanted the outfit to be very Spring and something that I felt would fit the notion "when in Rome" as though you could wear it on holiday in Italy. I specifically wanted to ensure all the fabrics were Spring appropriate and that they worked together. Also wanted a "mash-up" of different shades of blue grounded in neutrals, different patterns and different fabrications. Finally I wanted to use pieces that hadn't already been selected, or I'd swap out the Taninos for the Tanino slip-ons in the blue raffia. Oh, and I just got the Butteros in this post and Fok's first this week. Great shoes both pair.

I'm not participating unless Kyle wears the clothes himself, mannequin is a cop-out

If we have sizes available that will fit me (S, 30 waist, 36/46 jacket, shoes in 42 or 42.5) then I will happily oblige in those instances.

Cool challenge idea. Nice store too, C4est. First time I've checked it out. The prices are great too (if you live in the states).

I like lorcan's and spacepope's combos so far.

I'd wear this tomorrow in a heartbeat. Springtime has been very temperamental lately, with sun, wind, rain, hail, and snow all on the same day.

Monitaly Army Wool 5-Panel Cap

Lunettes Kollection "Ready When You Are"

Post-Imperial Adire Square
('round the neck it goes)

TS(s) Prussian Blue CPO (sleeves rolled)

Merz B. Schwanen Long-Sleeve Henley

Farnese Beige Canvas + Suede Belt

Niche Deadstock Cone Mills Short (roll 'em up)

Merz B. Schwanen Army Melange Merino Wool Socks

Heschung Lothier (don't buy these, please)

Porter "Tanker" Overnight Bag

Ettinger Money Clip Wallet

Of course, you could swap the CPO shirt for an Esemplare floral down shirt.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
