The only difference I've noticed between my Italian and Portuguese commissions is that there used to be a small bit of thread at the corner of the pocket and at the point on the sleeves right where the two pieces of fabric come together at the writs before separating to the sleeve buttons that is no longer there. I think in one article this was referred to as "the closest thing they have to a logo." Other than that and the removal of the "made in Italy" tag on the collar, I would not have even noticed a difference

Hey ya'll. I am heading back to Paris tomorrow and have a few dollars burning a hole in my pocket. Just curios what you guys would suggest from the Fall / Winter look book. I am leaning towards a jacket or two and pants. I know I will probably have to get most things MTO, which I am cool with. Thoughts? @merkwurdigliebe I value your opinion and was curious what you were eyeing.

cheers
Nic

Appreciate the thought! I just got the moleskin jeans in and like them very much. I picked up the velvet suit, the chalkstripe db suit and probably going to get the tan wool one soon. They also have some nice boots and loafers that haven't gone online yet.

With their fall/winter stuff I'm always pretty close to just getting 1 of everything lol

Thanks man, not sure my wallet can handle all that, but I did have my eye on the moleskin jeans, was curios how they fit in the thighs? Shoes sadly I can not do because of my wide ass feet. Suit wise I am think a tan or beige suit but I would be getting that in a lighter fabric. As for jackets I have my eye on the gun check but would change it up a bit. I guess I need to just go through their website and see what catches my eye.

I took a size 33 and I usually take a EU42 in the pants, they're on the slimmer side. The thigh is also where pants are hit-or-miss for me.

I was in Paris this summer but had no time to go to Husbands. I want to order more, but until I get my suit jacket back from my local tailor, I won't know if I need to go to a 60 in my jacket size, or stick with the 58 MTO with modifications. The sleeves from the elbow to the cuff were SO ticket, they were almost like vice grips on my wrists. I don't know if Husbands can modify this in the MTO process or not. If not, I will try a 60 on when next in Paris.

Looks strange to me and I'm a huge Husbands Paris fan. Maybe I just need to get used to it.
Not to sound too much like Die Workwear, but it's the contrast between the formality of the jacket and the more casual looking pants. Plus the jacket is a very dark navy which makes the contrast even greater and the jacket look more formal.

I also purchased the Navy DB jacket. First time getting a size 52 so I'm interested to see how it fits.

Does anyone have experience with their straight raw denim? On their page they look pretty slim for a “straight” pair of jeans, do they fit like this in real life too?

It's an unusual look for sure and the cliché that pinstripe is only for suits certainly influences our perception.

I've had a pair for a couple years now and like them a lot. I purposely sized down to get a slimmer fit and the leg opening after 1 wash is 20.5 cm (size 31). I'm not really into denim so can't compare them to other brands but they fit me perfectly after the wash.

This store in Korea has measurements for all sizes

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
