How many miles did you run today?

About 200m today before I pulled something in my groin. I guess I won't be racing on Saturday.

More importantly, this shows the importance of listening to your own instincts and not necessarily doing what a coach tells you. There's no way, with my goals, age and condition, I should have been trying to run 200m sprint intervals. It's unecessary and likely to result in injury (as indeed it did). I've been running hard 800-1600m intervals last month but sprinting is an entirely different thing. I don't need to do it. I shouldn't do it.

brp, dat's gorgeous. I am envious.

It's amazing right now. Of course it'll all go brown once things dry out as summer gets into swing, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Also, 3.5 miles tonight with the toddler in the jogging stroller. But it was an ice cream run, so that negated whatever good the run did.

8.7 miles on the trails. Same trail run as last weekend, but worlds apart. 50s and overcast, verging on cold with the wind. And again, just like last week, I bumped into some friends who were biking on the trail.
