Has anyone made anything from this bunch? How is the quality? I have my eyes on a beautiful blue houndstooth with a beige windowpane (826016) for a jacket, but I am a bit hesitant since it does feel a little bit soft and flimsy.

I like this one very much "826100
Maize/Vicuna/Dk Brown Traditional Plaid 2 x 1¼ inch"

Thanks Despos. Would you say it is comparable in quality to Hardy's worsted Alsport for example?

I know you asked Despos, not me, and I am not a tailor. However, Worsted Alsport and Peacock are differnt types of cloth. Worsted Alsport has a different feel and finish from Peacock's. Peacock will be fluffy and soft, whereas Worsted Alsport will be more like a roughed-up worsted. (non-worsted) Alsport is a thornproof, which tends not to have a super fluffy finish either. Over time, however, Alsport ends up quite nice and weathered.

I've had a jacket made from an older Peacock Jacketing book. It is a navy and royal blue herringbone pattern. The peacock collection is very nice. Its not for every day wear, but great for when you want your inner peacock to show its feathers

I think this is from an older Peacock book. I couldn't find it on their website. I really like the feel of the fabric. Kind of soft and spongy.

Anybody have any opinions on the H&S Peacock V jacketings vs. the Porter & Harding Glorious Twelfth fabrics? They seem to occupy rather similar niches. I have considered getting a jacket from the Peacock V collection, but I find it interesting that some here find the fabrics wanting in durability. I have one jacket from the Glorious Twelfth collection, which seems very satisfactory so far, and was considering getting another Glorious Twelfth or a Peacock V jacket when Chan comes through this summer

The P&H Glorious Twelfth has a harder finish and tighter weave compared to the Peacock. Its 100% wool versus the Peacock, which has some cashmere. I'm having a jacket made up right now from the Glorious 12th and am very pleased with the results so far. Between the two, I prefer the Glorious 12th over the Peacock.
