I think yellow ties pair nicely with navy SC/suits.

Agreed.

I bought a yellow Hermes at a thrift store just because it was a cheap Hermes. I wear it a lot! It's sort of an alternative to my bright red tie when I'm feeling like wearing something bolder. It is a paler yellow, not a dark gold, and it is perfect with Navy.

Great combination of colours/fabrics though the jacket seems a little too large. Other than that, I love it. Very Italian. Which part of the world do you call home?
Thank you so much! I'm in Orange County, California. The jacket is actually part of a casual suit. Good call on the style, it is made in Italy. It's actually the same make as the glen plaid suit I wore yesterday. Cheers!

After yesterday's monsoon in NYC, the temperatures have dropped, and it is predicted to be quite windy this afternoon, prompting the first appearance this season of a top coat, in addition to headgear. Underneath, a last hurrah for my latest summer weight suit, just back from the tailor's in an attempt to un-taper the legs as much as possible (my enormous calves notwithstanding).

Suit - Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole
Shirt - Tyrwhitt
Tie - Hackett
Braces - New & Lingwood
Pocket square - no name brand, gift from fellow poster Bernoulli
Cufflinks - Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
Shoes - Magnanni for Bergdorf Goodman
Topcoat - Charles Tyrwhitt
Scarf - Ede & Ravenscroft
