@jcmeyer - great jacket, do you know what fabric has been used to make it?

Thanks! It's from the Holland & Sherry, Sherry Tweed bunch. According to Steed, the H&S rep told them my specific fabric isn't being made anymore but this one is super close: https://apparel.hollandandsherry.co...818041-sherry-tweed-brown-herringbone-58-inch

I held them side by side this past weekend and at quick glance you can't really tell the difference. The new version might have a bit more red and a bit less green. Either way, it's interesting because there's no actual brown thread. The base is black thread and the rest are all the colors that resolve to brown from any distance. Neat stuff.

I heard, you don't like cosplay here.
If so, don't look at the tommy gun.

@An Acute Style: it really takes guts these days to step out of the house with this garment (especially combining it with cream colored slacks and spectators).

It certainly attracts attention, even in a relatively sartorially sophisticated locale.
As others have pointed out, repetition/frequency helps as does not giving a darn, but for many that’s easier said than done.
If you enjoy anachronistic clothing, there might be suitable social occasions depending on where you reside.
