Six is not infallible. Who'da thunk it? The shirt seems too saturated (I'm willing to believe this is a photographic artifact, though), but the part I can't get past is the hank. The palette seems too cool for everything else.

Thank goodness for not being infallible! The red is definitely an artifact. I adjusted it as best I could but my iPhone's sensor can't handle reds very well and really desaturating it took too much of the rest of the colors away. The distance photo, I think, gives a better sense of the palette.

You might be right about the square. I liked it in person and felt that the blue tied to the blue in the square. I wanted the base to echo the cream in the tie more but decided to go for it--in part because I liked the smooth silk balancing out the other textures and also not to overthink it. But being too cool for the rest is a solid observation.

I judge it mostly a success overall. And given the photos have generated some good conversation here and elsewhere I'm glad I posted them.

Thursday, and continued cool. I am attempting to will spring weather into being by force of attire - dragged out a lot of bright colors for today's rig. The camera was less than cooperative today as well, for certain shots - the Crusty Crouch, in particular, looks like crusty crap. Grrrrr.

Suit - New & Lingwood
Shirt - Tyrwhitt
Tie - BB
Cufflinks - Penhaligon's
Braces - Fine & Dandy, NYC

Thank you! This is actually the first hat I've really ever worn outside of a stocking cap, so I was more comfortable with the smaller brim to start. Felt less conspicuous I suppose. I plan on getting a full sized fedora later this summer though.
