Got my Spier & Mackay haul back from the tailor yesterday so this is the debut for these dark green high twist, high waisted trousers. I’ve embraced a roomier fit and I think they drape really well. I may need them taken up a touch again as I asked for no break but they seem to be a touch long if not hiked up.

It’s also the debut for this oatmeal linen blend blazer which I think @dapperclassic has too! Tied it together with some Grenson Brogues and a regimental stripe tie that was my grandfathers (and is too short!)

Opinions welcome!

I see a clear improvement in comparison with your previous fits, although I would hardly call those trousers roomy and high rise (proper length in my eyes). The length of the tie is not too short by any means. My favourite piece is the lovely jacket.

Long time since my last post. Good to see some familiar names still keeping it stylish in here. Currently I Am based in Jakarta, which is not a hotspot for great tailoring. Haven’t gotten in to the batik game yet but it’s only a matter of time.

Suit: De Petrillo
Shirt: Shirtonomy
Tie: Dreaming of Monday
PS: Kimber
Shoes: Allen Edmonds
Shades: Moscot

Way better than previous fits, jacket looks great. 👍 Tie good too, could be 1 cm longer but I wouldn't say it's too short. One can get that impression because the trousers sit 1 inch too low in front. Look on the sides and you see the waistband makes a concave line, maybe belt or braces could pull up the trousers front.

Nice composition, I would shorten the sleeves though.

Pants look good. Maybe try some braces if they feel long. Tie looks like a pretty good length to me

thanks for the feedback chaps, appreciate the kind words. The trousers were labelled high rise but yeah probably more of a medium, they do feel very comfy and I’m enjoying the drape. The leg opening is certainly bigger than I’m used to and due to the width they kinda move around when I walk which is relatively comical if you’re not used to it… I also adjusted the side adjusters so they sat a little higher and more comfortably throughout the day and that way I was more comfortable with the no break.

The tie has quite a short back blade but none of you could see that haha.

Finally, I love the jacket so I’m glad you all do too!

I quite like the shoes: what is the brand?
They are a pair of Grenson Brogues. Not sure on the model as I’ve had them around 11 years!

That was the one thing I was worried about with the coat when I got it. They are riding up a bit in the photo and the angle emphasizes it, but they are short. Where are the sleeves supposed to hit on a coat like this?

Past your shirt sleeves, which should be past your coat sleeves. I think my raincoat sleeves end around the base of my thumb, which is probably an inch past my wrist (where my shirt sleeve ends). Your outwear, especially a raincoat, is there to protect you from the elements. You don't want your shirt and suit/sportcoat getting wet because the trenchcoat sleeves are too short do you? I'm with AAS, if you can't lengthen them this is not the coat for you.
