Here's a hypothetical for you well-dressed gents:

What would you do, sartorially speaking, with 5 days in Naples and $2,500 to spend?

I'm thinking a pair of shoes from Meccariello would be a good start.

Any other tips?
Depends what the state of your wardrobe is, what you need, how your Italian is and how far you want to stretch your budget.

AM is a decent distance outside of Naples so you’ll need transportation. Assume you’re thinking RTW/MTO on price given you asked for other recs and I don’t think $2500 gets you to bespoke. Make sure to touch base with AM and make an appointment before you go. He doesn’t have a storefront.

If you don’t already have a shirt maker would do a visit to one of those. Personally would do D’Avino but Avitable, Sannino (again a ways from Naples proper so you’ll need transportation) and the Neapolitan Piccolo (not to be confused with the Milanese Piccolo) are other options.

If you don’t have a trouser maker go see Mola or Cerrato.

You should be out of money at this point but stop in Marinella or Rubi for some accessories if you have a few euros left.

If you’re going to see a shirt maker or trouser maker, reach out before you go and let them know your dates and that you want to order. If you see them day 1 you should be able to get a first fitting before you leave (as long as you aren’t going in august)

In Italy, wearing one of my two Berlusconi ties. Is it something I should be wearing at 30oC+? No, but let's hope for a healthier political system in Italy now that bunga bunga is out of fashion.

Some of your collar openings look very large. Are they too large for your neck or is it just an illusion because the collars are rather substantial in length (long points and extra, extra roll)?

Most of my collars measure 0.5” more than my actual neck circumference so it’s most likely an illusion as you put it, also keep in mind when worn open collar I leave three buttons undone which may be the reason the opening looks large. do they still appear too big for me when worn with a tie too?
