I applaud that you've gamely posted a variety of outfits and have a genuine interest in improving your look. My overall observation, put in terms that are not normally associated with clothing—is that virtually everything you wear is...complicated. Complicated in texture, pattern, colors—well, you get the idea.

My one suggestion: simplify, simplify, simplify. Take a look at almost any of the best-dressed lists you can find online. You'll see that, in most instances, the honoree exercises restraint in what he wears. Try to channel that affect in your next outfit and see what you think. And again, bravo to you for embarking on this journey!

Who knew that straight guys could even spell "bukkake", never mind know what it is . . .
Oh, my dear, dear Señor Crust. Bukkake is not limited to your team. :)

Amazing. Love the colors here. And tapered or not, the trousers look great. I cannot rock a bow tie but you do it perfectly.

After four days away from this forum, the weather and my schedule of chores have conspired to make my appearance here again possible. Today's selection of suit is one of my least favorite, due to the extreme taper of the trousers (and the extreme heft of my calves - 30+ years of stationary bike has its effects), but the jacket is OK, and the fabric is pleasant. I've eschewed the wearing of a hat today, as it's too warm for felt, and too cool for straw, and today's cufflinks are some from the archives - I've not worn them in years.

Suit - Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole
Shirt - Tyrwhitt
Tie - Paul Stuart
Cufflinks - The Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, UK
Braces - New & Lingwood, London
Pocket square - no name brand
Shoes - Septieme Largeur, Paris

But of course - a frosting by any other name could taste as sweet . . .

Sorry for my parochial views . . .
I think we can all be forgiven for not having a comprehensive knowledge of the varieties of pornography. :)

Loar, I appreciate your advice. I really do. However this quote could not be more wrong.

“Take a look at almost any of the best-dressed lists you can find online. You'll see that, in most instances, the honoree exercises restraint in what he wears.”

I've said it before, and I’ll say it again. Im compiling a photo album of my tailored mens wear. It dictates what I wear each day. (Ie: these shoes) I have 3 entries left to wear.

I will spare SF the pics from the next 3 fits. Afterward (maybe) I will try to wear fits more SF friendly. Honestly though, conservative business dress does nothing for me, so why would take a picture of it?
