I’ve always felt the crewneck with a necktie was a weird flex. With a bow tie though…

Polo Ralph LaurenNice trousers. Deets, please?
Yes, but you're not going hunting in this suit. And because of that, I feel that all the patch pocket/flap/button adornment detracts from what would otherwise be a very nice suit. Said more simply, in this case, less is more.
If this were my first or tenth suit, I would agree. Alas, I can play around a bit now that I have the bases for conservative suits covered.Yes, but you're not going hunting in this suit. In today’s world a bowler is always gonna come with a high degree of difficulty as they are so rarely seen they’re bordering on anachronistic (not that this would bother you! 😀) - but when paired up with the dark (navy?) overcoat it looks absolutely fine. Still not a common sight in NY or London. I’m trying to think of the right word - blends? merges? complements? - point being is that the end result is just right as opposed to “LOOK AT ME AND MY WACKY HAT” - which is coincidentally the reaction I experience when I see most of the Pittiful pictures. The weather in NYC today is seasonably cold and sunny, at least currently. My social media feeds have been overflowing with pictures from Pitti Uomo 105, and I am feeling a bit of FOMO for now being there (balanced with the knowledge that I am sure that Florence is heaving with peacocks, which might not be the ideal time to visit, other than to view them).
In any case, I've been inspired to dress up, if only in faint emulation of the sartorial splendors being perpetrated in Florence at this time. I am trying out a few things - today's cufflinks are making their debut, and, in anticipation of my visit to London next week, I am giving my bowler hat a test drive, to see if I can stand wearing it for a week - we shall see.
