@tcbinnc @Clouseau @themanfromLisbon Thank y'all for your critiques. After years of slim-fit everything, I was trying to change my standard silhouette. I've had the cuffs tailored on these khakis twice, and I wear them a little above the waist, so I don't think the length is the problem. Perhaps it's because Brooks Brothers cuts to a fuller model? I'm trying to find ways to move more in a trad or vintage direction.
Brooks Brothers is not as helpful in their descriptions as say a Nordstrom. BB's three dress pant "fits" in order of "tightness" are: Milano, Regent and Madison. The rise and leg opening follow that progression but they do not spell out the actual dimensions whereas Nordstrom in most cases does.

Be that as it may, it's the overall look you are going for that counts.

Midweek, and temperatures are remaining moderate in NYC, allowing for suit wearing in comfort. After a day off from posting (a combination of a late Monday evening, and drawing class last night), I'm back at it, with a suit that I've not worn in a while, and shoes from the archives.

Suit - Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole
Shirt - Brooks Brothers MTM
Tie - Drake's, London
Cufflinks - Simon Carter, via Fortnum & Mason, London
Braces - Lewin
Pocket square - Brooks Brothers
Shoes - Bergdorf Goodman house brand
