We have come to expect a certain level of living, a certain level of security and trust in our fellow swedes. It's quite obvious that the purpose of attacks like these is to limit our freedom, to create greater divisions in our open society, and to makes us feel unsafe in our own homes.

Today we took a walk through the central parts of Stockholm, because **** terrorists and whatever they're trying to achieve. We we're happy to see that a lot of our fellow Stockholmers were doing the same thing. Some days I'm proud of being Swedish, the way most of Stockholm residents have handled this horrible act of violence has certainly added to this feeling; with cool heads prevailing, and random acts of kindness to strangers.

Very sorry to hear the news from Stockholm.

Unfortunately the usual pious response will not do anything.

Trump is right. Sweden was foolish to accept these people in the first place.

Extrajudicial reprisals are required. Deniable. Blame it on a right wing group. The perpetrators have fellow travellers and institutions that support them.

There are more real Swedes than jihadis. The jihadis are usually in certain areas.

Time to man up and hit them hard. Careful targeting will be required but that can certainly be done.

Nordic democracies stand for the rule of law, equality, and human rights. We do not stand for extrajudicial reprisals, no matter how heinous the crime.

This thread is for vain dudes posting preening photos of themselves in fancy clothing. If that's something you're into, by all means, feel free to post. But please keep your poisonous political ideas to yourself.

Tomorrow's news today. I am headed out for brunch this noontime to the Leopard at des Artistes, and have dressed up a bit for the occasion, with the plans of recycling this noontime's attire for tomorrow at the office. I also wanted to see how photos taken without artificial light, with the copious natural light of my living room would appear.

Suit - Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole
Shirt - Tyrwhitt
Tie - JAB
Braces - Paul Stuart
PS - Alain Figaret
Cufflinks - St. Petersburg Collection, London
Shoes - To Boot Adam Derrick

Perhaps a more appropriate place for this type of discussion. http://www.styleforum.net/t/531916/official-president-trump-thread/9880_20#post_8830949

That suit is pretty great, @upr_crust, but it and my monitor are not friends. :satisfied:

If it is any comfort, photographs of the the suit and my monitor aren't really seeing eye to eye either - the monitor is having a major Bridget Riley moment.

Are you kidding? You and @dazedstate both know he would have been better off with something like this.

I've always really liked her color work - in this realm:

Premiered the linen suit for the season. Perhaps a bit prematurely.
