This is from the old book b4 Harrisons took over Lesser.
I was as thinking about the Cru, but went with Harrisons Oyster, which has a bit more texture. Also 13oz. Not saying its better, just a personal preference.
i expect the arms will settle with a bit of wear.

Thanks, and really, that jacket looks really good. Will check the book next time! I find it difficult to find good English cloth for summer jackets. It's like Fresco or Linen or nothing. The hopsack from the italian Lesser looks nice though, and the gunclubs.

Three days without looking in this thread and there many great fits, but these two were my favorites:
Appreciate the compliments

I'm resolved to keep posting to this thread, so here's this morning, taken in a mirror in a hotel room in San Francisco.

It's darker than I realized at the time, so I apologize for that.

[...] there are two kinds of people I cannot abide in this world. [...]

Just two? But of course, I keep forgetting that you're young.

Regardless of the residents, San Francisco is a very good restaurant town. And a short drive north and you're in wine country.

These are good things.

Cheers,

Ac

It's been a number of years since I've been there, but there's wine territory in both directions.

While I much prefer French and Italian wines, the presence of so many serious wine makers in that part of California has done much to foster a serious culinary culture, which in turn supports the wine culture—it's symbiotic in ways and to an extent that one can't find elsewhere in the U.S.

Didn't mean to hijack the thread.

Holy crap, Napa Valley is north of SF. That's funny because I've been there and still didn't realize it. Anyway, I love Italian wines but French I'm honestly not entirely impressed with. Don't get me wrong, there are some great ones, but the old chateaus that were once great don't move me. I'd rate the stuff coming out of California better. Of course, being a California native I may be biased.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
