Orgetorix, I have to agree with mimo, I think the suit does not go very well with the striped shirt.
Also the jacket seems to be on the short side.
I haven't seen a lot of your pics but I want to stress that you look healthy and great in your suit as you are, keep it up man!

Grimod, great to see you posting! :)

The jacket could really stand to be taken in, but I'm shrinking out of this suit and not gonna bother with alterations until I see if I lose enough to go down a size.
Suit: Oxxford
Shirt: Luciano Barbera
Tie: Brooks
Shoes: Nettleton

This looks great. I don't understand what those who say otherwise are seeing.

Two is too many?
I am including the texture of the suit fabric as number three - I feel the shirt is competing with it a little. A solid, or some fine, even pattern or texture in the shirt, might be better. But it's a small thing; overall I think it's rather dapper. Oh, and un-tuck your right pocket flap. :)

And a jacket that slaps faces at 100 yards.  In a really good way - love it!

There's this function called multi quote. I encourage you to use it to gather up your replies from now on. When every fourth post in this thread is your inane ramblings it gets a bit annoying...

"I like the jacket. I'll take it off your hands if it's still too small..."

It's wearable... I like a bit more room, but it doesn't even pull at the button, just feels snug at the rear... plus it's probably big for you, it's a size 40S!

I wish it was that easy! having dropped 130 already, losing even a single pound is a herculean task

I normally don't weigh in on these things as I am small timer here, but this is the first time I have been on an actual computer checking the forum in a long time. Mimo, I get you are relatively new here, but for the love of whatever you find sacred, PLEASE stop posting about everything. I will give you a few well mannered reasons. One, it makes it very hard to actually follow the flow of the discussion and the posts of others members. Two, your comments are usually brief and should be reserved for thumbs up in the post you are commenting on. There is a reason this was implemented. Finally, and please, take this with a grain of salt, I believe you need to lurk more, critique less, and learn more before you comment so much. I am not saying your opinion isn't worthwhile, it just seems a bit much from a person who has only posted a few lackluster pictures and no pedigree to justify your volume of posts.

Sorry if this bothers you but it is just my opinion.

  • Love them, classic!

  • Occasionally, depending on the outfit

  • Prefer flat-front

  • Never wear them
