Dark brown, yes. Or burgundy. Or black. Light tan, I tend to find too bright for dark navy. Fine for a petrol or lighter blue though.

Holdfast - Great red pants. Cant wait to wear mine. Are they Panta?
Zegna. From the Gritti line, so not Panta quality, but the fit works for me and the price when on outlet sale cannot be argued with.

As long as she doesn't start stalking you, I think you're OK.

I think it works. Perhaps the green is a shade too bright for the dark brown, but for springtime, I rather think a little mismatch in tone isn't all bad, providing it's done subtly like this.

I feel mischievous enough to x-post this into the conservative business dress thread, just to see whether a light grey suit houndstooth suit ever qualifies...

As per your request, fritzl, a close-up of the boots. The are ostrich leg vamps, and the brand is Star Boots. I photographed them with jeans and with a suit, just for contrast - the suited close up shot was clearer.

I'm assuming these came with a stick wrapped in ostrich as well, for beating away the constant stream of ***** these must generate.

Nice, bright tie. Liking the beefy collar on the button down shirt.

What an interesting observation. The boots were not otherwise equipped so, and, to date, the effect that you describe has not occurred, but, then again, I've only owned them for three days - if such an effect occurs, I shall be sure to inform the forum.

Our ex-Governor here in Santa Fe would wear the same attire but would have a Bolo instead of the Charvets you usually sport.

I will have the opportunity to sport the same attire (with or without Bolo - or Charvet, for that matter) in a couple of weeks - I will be visiting a friend for a long weekend in ABQ. I do promise not to run for governor while there, however.
