Groomsman gift advice - leather wallets?

Trying to decide on a nice gift for my groomsmen - the wedding is May 28. Originally I was thinking about Sam Hober ties, but 4 of the 5 guys would rarely wear them. I could do cuff links - but I think it would be the same problem - not something they'd use often, if at all. One is also in AA, so I don't want to do flasks or scotch.

I'm leaning towards a nice leather wallet with their initials embossed. Tony Perotti Italy seems like a reasonable choice. I was thinking either the prima hipster, prima bi-fold with ID flap, or prima with removable credit card case & ID. Leaning towards cognac color.

Stepping it up to Aspinal of London- Billfold Wallet in Smooth Cognac & Espresso Suede - would double the price. But they seem really nice. Personally I like their croc, but not for a gift.

I suppose Bosca is another option recommended from another thread. Any thoughts/additional recommendations/advice would be appreciated! Thank you in advance.

EDIT: Oh, if it matters, the groomsmen are going to be renting tuxes for the evening wedding (I know - but no one owns one) which will cost between 110-150 per person.

Ive been trying to decide on gifts as well. Neither of mine carry wallets, only one drinks, only one would wear cufflinks, etc. So I settled on ties. Either a few Tom Ford or Charvet ties. Also thought about doing bespoke ties and getting a custom label with the wedding date on the tag.

I did pocket knives - its not something most of them will already have like a wallet or tie, or if they do they most likely have several in a collection. I got each of them a different one to suit their style.

Just my $.02, but wallets are pretty personal as far as I'm concerned. I'm a bi-fold guy. I would never use a tri-fold. I know guys that are the exact opposite of that though and won't use a bi-fold. If you know which each prefers, wallets are great. Otherwise, I might do something else.

I do like the pocket knife idea though...

100%. I have a great wallet that an ex gave me for Xmas appr 10yrs ago. It's still brand new but I have never used it. Wallets may just get put away and never used unless youi know exactly what each dude likes!

Does it all have to be the same thing? Why not get flasks for the ones that will use them, cufflinks or a tie for the one that will use that, etc?

On the plus side, this gives you a chance to commemorate why each man was selected to stand up for you. On the flip, it multiplies the difficult decision of what to get and might make one or more of your groomsmen feel that they got the short end of it. I opted to get one gift for all my groomsmen, and something different for my best man to show extra appreciation for what he did on my behalf.

I think that focusing on the utility of the item misses the point; the gift should be a lasting memento of a special occasion and a valued service. Otherwise, you could just get 'em all gift cards. IMO, the problem with a wallet is that if you use it it wears out, and if you don't it just sits in a drawer until it goes to a yard sale, thrift shop, or eBay. Whether it's at least nominally utilitarian or purely symbolic, pick something that you can imagine lasting as long as your marriage"”and your friendship with the groomsman.
