Question about GS's exchange program. I had to send my boots back for a different size. In other's experience how long is their turn around on exchanges? I have some holiday events next week and was hoping to have to boots by then, but not sure if it takes a while to process the exchanges.
While I wouldn't expect an exchange this time of year that quick, mine was less than a week. I also live in MI where they're located.

I live in Southern California, so it takes about 7 days for GS to receive the returned item, and another 7 days for me to get the new item.

Black and Dune Diesel boots from yesterday and today.

Despite having similar breaks on the left boot I feel like my black pair always looks worse in photographs. Either way I love both pairs.

The Dune pair shows a lot of patina. Looking forward to the black CXL to eventually have some brown poking through.

Gents,
Has any of you dyed the welts of your GS boots? Specifically the dune? I'm not a massive fan of contrasting welts because I'm a boring kinda guy.

Old pic for attention

I always figured the welts would patina along with the rest of the boot so it wasn't necessary. I agree the contrast can be a bit harsh when new though.

Hey guys,
Just got my traveler loafers. The top of my foot feels a bit too cramped in them. This is my first pair of loafers so I dont know what to expect. Everything else is fine. Will it stretch/adapt? Thanks?

Yup. Just a little walnut shoe polish will do the job (make sure to wipe the excess vigorously to prevent pant rub / transfer); no need for a stronger dye that might ruin the uppers.

@Vincent George Thanks. I was thinking light brown polish would also work? What you think?
Absolutely. I used the Allen Edmonds Walnut in this case. But I’d bet any light brown would be good.

Also: I like to apply with a Q-Tip and a toothbrush (you can lightly brush the polish into the welt and stitching for good coverage).
