personally, I don't find the Simpson instep height to be a problem

I've yet to compare Simpson and Rain together but I've heard Rain is more forgiving on the instep and 9.5UK just barely does it for me. The pictures make the Simpson look fairly darn slim.

What about Rain last? Would it fit a D/E width well by sizing down 1 (UK to US)?
Most of my customers size down one full size from their US sizing on Rain.
I am 6.5 E US and wear 5.5 on Rain (Although 6 on Rain also works for me as well since I like my shoes comfortable from the get go as of late)

I would totally go for the 80189 burgundy split toe but I am so uncertain about the Simpson last. Is there any definitive sizing advice on this?
Not a definitive sizing advice but Simpson is no good for people with wide feet :(
If Inca fits you well and Rain is still too narrow for you Simpson just wont work in my opinion...

People who has medium to semi-wide feet (like myself) size up half for Simpson (from their normal UK sizing) and that seems to work fine :)

Steve, I might have to try out an Inca for my feet!

Im a big Inca fan too! They are one of the widest Carmina offers in my humble opinion (other than Detroit and Soller)
We have two Inca double monks coming in next week! (navy calf double monk restock & brown calf double monk)
Cheers!

Detroit = Soller = Inca > Rain > Forest > Simpson = Alcudia = Uetam

FYI, I am a UK8.5EE on John Lobb 8000 last
UK8.5EEE on Carmina Rain
UK9 on Carmina Detroit & Soller
UK9F on G&G MH71
UK9E on Edward Green 82/888
UK8.5G on St. Crispins Classic Last

I hope this will at least sort some people's mind

@steveyoo1983

Thanks! I ordered the Rain last punch cap toe oxford last night one size down. I'd hate to deal with an exchange but I am feeling pretty confident now.

I just completed my first transaction with GF. I placed an order for a pair of Carmina green suede loafers on Friday evening. I received the shoes today. Less than 72 hours for a trip across the country. Steve even threw in an Abbey shoehorn for good measure. That's some great customer service. Thanks, Steve!
