It is not that I dislike them. I do, in fact, believe they have some aesthetic interest, and may be particularly apt for a very sleek and appropriately designed shoe. However, given my own rather traditional look, I find they came seem a bit out of place and don't really add anything to the construction, look, fit, or quality of the shoe. I guess my tastes are rather classic (some might say conservative) and I simply find them an unnecessary adornment (albeit one no one else ever really see). Others are very fond of the look and I respect that. As they say, to each his own.

Yes, that is indeed the basic pattern of the broguing, though the shoe should be a bit neater with finer punching and a different medallion.

No. It's MTO, available for order during their city tours. Check gazianogirling.com for more info. I suppose if you knew your size and exactly what you're looking for, you could place a phone or e-mail order, but I'm not too sure about that if you're a new customer.

I believe he does have a RTW line referred to as "bench-made" on his site http://www.gazianogirling.com I don't know the cost, and you can't get it in the US unless you talk to them when they are here. I would send them an email. They are pretty responsive.

There are only two retailers of RTW G&G shoes currently, one in the UK and one in France (and it doesn't look like the one in France has the shoes yet).
