FRIDAY CHALLENGE: Monochrome Menswear VOTING POLL

This is the the voting thread for the Friday Monochrome Menswear Challege. Vote for as many entries as you like. One photo from each entry is provided below in chronological order of submission. The individual entry with the most votes gets to host the next challenge. The poll will close in 2 days.

Feel free to discuss the entries or the theme, what you liked or disliked, anything relevant to the challenge in this thread as well.

There were 29 entries all up which I think is a great effort. This thread was a lot easier to create, set up the poll for and embed all the images than the last time I did it years ago. Thanks to @LA Guy and his staff for running the forum and keeping the architecture up to date.

Looking through the compilation, a few stood out to me. I liked @kjb 's look a lot but didn't feel it felt the theme as it had two colours. It was a solid outfit that I really think worked well though. @Gerry Nelson 's colour combination and use of textures was very nice for a casual menswear look, I'd probably wear this with a different shoe since I'm drawn to that palette as well. @monkey66 's was my favourite classic menswear look, it all came across as very well coordinated, the pieces seemed top quality and it hit the theme. @mgns 's first entry was also very well done and tasteful imo. @d4nimal 's green outfit had an excellent silhouette, a challenging but cohesive use of colours and his photography I think was the best out of the lot in terms of clarity, lighting and composition.

Thanks again for all the entries and I hope the next challenge gets a lot of interest and engagement as well.

29 entries but 21 participants, so you are introducing a new voting concept if I understand correctly.
It was an interesting Challenge but to me only a few entries did « real » monochrome and followed the rules.
Like you said, people can decide if they prefer « on topic » entry when they vote.

My votes, in no particular order:

@WBaker - His outfit gives me real The Dude vibes.
@An Acute Style - Of course. I like all the outfits, but of his entries I'll give the edge to his first. FWIW, my wife prefers the blue.
@DapperPhilly - I like the elevated all black, with some more interest using the pinstripes.
@Mr Knightley - Because how can you not?
@FlyingMonkey - For the sheer ability to pull it off in yellow.

I'm not sure that @RajunCajun's first outfit qualifies as monochrome, but I like it a lot. I don't think I could pull it off, but he certainly does.

Definitely the most varied responses to a challenge for a while - and the best fit won*. Thanks @xeoniq and congratulations to @d4nimal .

*Although personally I think @An Acute Style deserved a higher placing than he got here - perhaps the AAS vote was split between too many good entries.

I think both @An Acute Style and @RajunCajun, both of whom received one a piece of my 5 votes, would have been better served with one entry each.
However @d4nimal entries were excellent.

Is the contest over? I was hoping to make a late push for second place...

Thanks, fellas. I’m in a three way tie for third based on my first entry. Adding up my votes from 4 fits, I have 18 votes. Still less than D4nimals 30, but squarely in 2nd place. I’ll take either given the tough comp.

Ha!! This is actually the first Friday Challenge that I participated in and followed. I didn't know there was an actual poll. I thought it was based on thumbs. I now have a better grasp of how it comes together (seems like it's better to wait until closer to the end and post one solid pic after you have a chance to survey the entries).

I did enjoy the experience and I look forward to the next challenge.
