Since the picture doesn't have to be from this week, here's Lenin, Miss Mao, and I on the corner of 4th and La Brea in Los Angeles around two years ago.

As I have mentioned before, if I win the Friday Challenge part of the challenge will be that the picture has to be taken somewhere outside on the street to prove that the entrant actually left his house wearing his entry.

For those who want more details about Lenin on La Brea in Los Angeles......

Great fit. Love the pants and the pink.

Bow tie and three-piece suit, take two . . .

Super elegant as always. Sweet vest and chain. I really like this bow tie on you. I feel the other one you posted in this tread is too wide and not tall enough for your face. The paisley and stripes look great.

@an Acute Style

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you like the fit. The sc is Miller's Oath, pants are cashmere Loro Piana and Lidfort shoes.

I will work on my camera skills. Btw, yours and Gerry Nelsons are impeccable.

I had no intention of participating in the FC, but I let my wife choose a tie for me and coincidentally it turned out to be a bow-tie.

Nice fit and bow tie, but I think the bow tie is too wide for your face/is too large in general. I like the color and pattern of it.

I saw in Neiman Marcus today a line of pretied, clip-on bow ties by Tom Ford starting at $250. Such a contradiction.

I remember when it was a rite of passage to learn how to tie one.

I imagine many SF posters would have learned how to tie their bow sitting on their dad's knee at a young age.

It took me a long time to learn how to do it - my own father had no interest in such fripperies! I learned sitting with my tailor and friend using my thigh to practice. I could make a good bow like that but never around my neck - until I saw a video on the web. Henry Poole I think.

Even for a proper bow $250 is pretty steep eh?

The fabrics very rich and luxe. Still not worth it in my book.
