Chanel has a very limited and quite confidential Chanel homme mini-line. It is some of the ugliest **** known to man and should only be worn to terrify the enemy in times of total war. Not sure what is meant by "heritage", is it stuff like Atelier d'Artisan or YSL?

I was so close to getting those this winter, but got Trickers instead, figured they´d be more versatile... How did you size them btw?
Weird thing with Paraboot sizing is that the Michael comes in EU sizes (e.g 42,43), but the other models seems to come in uk-ish sizes (10,11). So far I havent figured out how to convert between them..

Bruno St. Hilaire does French country clothing. Probably a bit old-mannish for this forum though...

Based on recommendations I got my normal UK size, 8½. I had my doubts, as the measurements of the sole were both shorter and slimmer than the C&J shoes I was comparing them with. As it turned out they fit perfectly - as you can see in the pics the sole is very trim - and they are both lighter and more comfortable than I expected. Great boots, IMHO.

Who are they? I know of only Lacoste and Falconnable. This is a companion thread to the British Heritage one, which has proven very useful.
Many people especially bankers wear Hermes ties also Dior and Charvet. I also wear Hermes pants, shirts, jackets as well. Hermes has been around for a long time though selling men's wear is actually rather new. Everything is done with no compromise, but you pay for the Hermes brand.

To show the difference, I will compare Armani black label with Hermes. Hermes is more formal, more muted, but clearly made to a higher standard, perfect for young and old fogies.

A couple of brands across very diverse categories and price ranges that have been around for a long time already: Berluti, Figaret, Lanvin, Cifonelli, Agnelle, Causse, Maison Fabre, Eric Bompard, Longchamp, Charvet

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
