It’s Red Bull: https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/...1-team-at-centre-of-ride-height-device-probe/'FIA intervenes immediately: Competitors see one team cheating with trick'
The FIA already has its hands full before the United States Grand Prix weekend. According to Autosport.com, Formula 1's governing body has been alerted to a 'cunning' trick by one team on the grid. According to the other teams, the ride height was being changed between qualifying and the race...www.gpblog.com
This has to be McLaren.
I think the fastest lap point should have been available to anyone that set it, not just the top 10.That’s dumb. I kinda enjoy the creative “cheating” (if it even is cheating) like the RBR brake bias or the MCL flexi wings. That isn’t fun or creative at all.
This is also dumb:
Fastest lap point to be scrapped in 2025
The FIA’s World Motor Sport Council convened for a meeting on Thursday, with minor changes to the existing Sporting and Technical regulations being approved, as well as a restructuring of the 2026 ruleset.www.formula1.com
I like the extra gamesmanship that happens around that extra point for fastest lap. I’m even in favor of having more ways to score points, like fastest pit stop or collecting Mario kart shells on the track
I would make it a separate championship with reverse-WDC-order grids. The incentive would be additional prize money and/or wind-tunnel/CFD runs for the top three sprint teams. For young drivers, I would alternate between the two cars similar to how the currently mandated young driver FP1 sessions have be split between the two entries.I think the fastest lap point should have been available to anyone that set it, not just the top 10.
And I think they should scrap Sprint races going towards WDC points and only have them count to constructor points with a rule that requires a team's reserve/jr driver participate in each sprint leaving it up to the team to decide who the 2nd sprint driver is from their 2 regular pilots.
