For those of you who have rips on bags. Take it to a denim repair shop and have it darn!

Note that denim fabrics area type of twill weave. denim is also twill weave. Darning can make rips or also disappear as long as the thread color is similar or matches.

Not only that, I am sure many repair shops will have the colors.
Darning is mending and much better than patching a hole or rips.

Yep, that is how they do it. They either have a darning sewing machine or a regular sewing machine and just go back and forth on the rips or holes.

Good advice if you have factory second, but not good for personally purchased Filson bags. Any work done by an outside entity voids the warranty!

Have you guys who sell a lot on eBay noticed a drop on the used market? It seems there are good deals that aren’t selling right now

Overall market has slowed due to people not needing bags for trips they can’t/ couldn’t take. It’s starting to pick up.

How does that void the warranty though?

@GzStudio Speaking of the market picking back up, what are your feelings about this seller (and sellers like him)? This seller is posting quite often; his listings range from fair to downright ridiculous. This Filson Lock & Key is no exception. For that price one can buy a brand new #261 Zip Tote from Filson.com and still have some change leftover.

I’m not sure about that seller from Japan as they came out of nowhere on our US site. I believe they started a year or two ago selling a Filson bag once in awhile. Not sure if their prices are based off a bad exchange rate formula or what as the pricing is a joke. I can make a fortune at that rate with all the locks and keys I have....
