Less about real/fake and more on authenticity of dating.

Listing says it’s true vintage and I think this lettering of navy and gold puts it at late 60s-80s, but they did use this during the M&S takeover so I want to make sure it’s not the crap version. There are no labels underneath the chest and there is a union label in an internal breast pocket.

Hello everybody,

So I bought this Ferragamo tie on Amazon. It cost me about $100. However, to be honest, I am unsure whether or not it is real.

First of all, if I search for the product number online, I can barely find any information.

Second, logo/tag is different from the ties I bought 8-10 years ago. Did they change recently (before only becoming 'Ferragamo'). Also the small label on the narrow end includes "seda" (Spanish?). This is not included on my previous ties, nor on the ties I saw in the Ferragamo store in Tokyo.

Third, it came with a card saying there is a NFC Chip in the tie. I tried to find it but couldn't, so I went to the Ferragamo store here (Tokyo) and they said they had never heard of NFC chips in ties. Is this a thing outside of Japan? The card was also written in Japanese, so I am not sure what to make of that.

Fourth, it smells kind of weird, but not overly weird. I have done the rubbing between fingers method to see if it heats up. It does, so I believe it is silk, and silk can sometimes have a weird smell to it I have read. Not sure how to describe it.

Anyone?

That is the new tag. I think the nfc chip is in the card not the tie

jazerad,

Thank you very much for your reply. So you can confirm that you have seen this tag on authentic ties in the past?

The ties in the store now have a white tag with only 'Ferragamo' written on it.

About the chip, there seems to be something in the tag, but I get no response from it.

Good morning,

I'm curious about everyone's experience with the Vestiaire Collective?

The website claims to have an authentication process, but I've read some pretty negative reviews about the process and it's customer service on Reddit.

I bought this Burberry cashmere coat from the Vestiaire Collective which is a fashion consignment site. I've read very mixed reviews about them and their authentication process.

So I wanted to know if this is the real deal or not?

Hi. Does anyone know is this apir of jeans is authentic? What ainfound that this is Levi's x Cloth collab and probably with Kazuki Kuraishi.
I posted them on of the Levi's FB group, but there is draw there one vote for fake, one for authentic.
Wash tag faded while washing, but I made photos before and after.
Can someone help me with them, thanks in advance.

Hello! Hope you're all good. I'm a new joiner to the site though I've been following SF for a few months as a casual appreciator of classic menswear. Hope this is the right section to post this ask but please direct me elsewhere if not.

Found these shoes online on a listing I had my eye on for some suede penny loafers and am having trouble placing them. They were being touted as Ralph Lauren Purple Label Chalmers but a Google of those shows a different shoe.

Also conscious of the block writing inside and cursive on the bottom. Any idea what these are?

I just dug this jacket out of a closet - a charity shop purchase from a few years back. I’m curious about whether it’s authentic. It fits well, but has strangely cheap-looking buttons (and non-working cuff buttons, FWIW).
