I bought a used Brioni cashmere jacket - or what was represented as such - for what seemed a very good price. The fit is nice, and the materials and workmanship feel correct. I’m surprised, though, that the pattern doesn’t align across / either side of the pocket flaps. Is this suspect?

Hi @All, just stumbled over this forum - usually I would introduce myself in an Introduction Thread, but I didn't find one.

I love hunting for rare Loro Piana, Hermes and sometimes other interesting "High End Brands" that share that love of detail I do. My rule of thumb is around 1 Piece each month for either my wife, kids or myself.

My Wife tried now and bought a Loro Piana Sweater on eBay, which looks good to me. But I was wondering if - as LP gets more and more known over the past years - there are actually fakes? I saw in the sweater label (thats on the way to me) that it says MAC5033 - I always assumed thats the model number of the piece itself. By googling it, turns out many pieces over the internet in different designs have this number, the only thing they share is the fabric being 70% cotton and 30% silk.

Are they/this one legit? Labels and fabric looks fine to me, only the model number made me curious. For the future I am happy to share my two cents and help comparing labels where I can. Cheers!

Yes, the check lining is the correct lining. The tags also are correct, specifically the tags with the "story" messages.

I found this scarf thrifting and it seems to check out but I'm not sure as I've never owned a silk twill scarf. Edges are handrolled in towards the logo and I included a screenshot of a similar scarf I found online. Anyone know if this is authentic and when it may be from?

I found this sport jacket on sale, it is a very low price, but is it possibly a fake? I don’t think I see any huntsman labels online that look exactly like this, but I do see a variety of them, so maybe this is just another style? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

have never seen this label but the "designed and licensed by Huntsman" suggests to me that it was not made by Huntsman. If so, more likely to be factory-made.

Can anyone verify that it’s real? The low price is throwing me off and I can’t find any other jackets like this online ever being sold by a reputable website.
