I however have very little knowledge of EB last’s, so far I see 173 being the closest had it has lower toe box.

and before everyone torched and forked me with “why not go with StC and save the hassle?” I did spoke to Phillips prior to these, he said no to Bakers.

Naw, even without interest I’m still going in myself. This is more like appreciation because Bonafè want to use this leather.

Long shot, but anyone knows if Bonafé works with Bakers stuff? Or willing to, be it sourced by customer/retail or himself.

There aren’t that many of brands that wants to work with these tanneries, StC, Zonkey along with EG to name few of them. That’s why I ask does Bonafè wants to?

Should he wanted to, but doesn’t want to order the leather as stock I ask whether if it is plausible if I source it myself or let the stockiest do it.

Any shoemaker will be hesitant to make a shoe from a leather they have never handled before. Usually when it's a question of "bring your own" it is a retailer that will get some hides for Bonafé, do a few samples and then let clients have access to the leather. I'm not that familiar with Baker, I'm not sure why StC refused the leather, Mr. Car may (or may not) have had bad experience with this tannery and that's why he refused. Did he state a reason?

They are completely different beasts. 173 is more like a gunboat last. 363 is a round classic last.
