Just wanted to get some thoughts on which of these you would select over the other.
Inverness is slightly dressier.
I have both and without a doubt Inverness
Both the Malvern and Inverness are full brogues. That makes them a lot more casual.
Why so? Other than the medallion, what is the difference?
They are actually quite different. Inverness is not a real wingtip with two/three pieces of leather stitched. The wingtip shape is simply broguing and stitching, not overlapping leather pieces. So the shoe is lighter and much more elegant in my opinion. Think of it as a stitched and brogued wholecut.
I didn't realise the construction difference between them either. However, the main thing seems to be an issue of which EG last you prefer.
